AIR AND SURFACE SANITIZATION AND PURIFICATION

Tyrenian Group uses more than one brand of air purifier, to best suit your air and surface sanitisation needs or concerns. Our solutions are custom made to suit your needs.

Air Purifiers are on the rise as a response to our Air Quality. Every season, a different stampede of allergens, virus and bacteria infiltrate our air. Our homes provide us with shelter and with many of us working from home and spending more time indoors, this exposes us to more indoor particles and pollutants that can aggravate or induce lung-related diseases but how do air purifiers work?

How Do Air Purifiers Work?

Air purifiers essentially work by sanitizing the air, which includes pollutants, allergens, and toxins, unlike oil diffusers and humidifiers, which add particles to indoor air. Air purifies perform differently to filters as air purifies sanitize as well as remove particles like the filters.

The biggest benefit of Tyrenian Group air purification ionisation equipment are that they are ACTIVE air treatment technologies that are far more effective than PASSIVE HEPA, UVC and other filtration systems. Both NPBI and PHI technology treats the introduced contaminants at the source and within the space. Treated air from HEPA filtration, UVC and other passive systems can instantly be reinfected after treatment whilst areas being treated with the ACTIVE systems continually refresh and disinfect air safely without the reliance of having to pass through a medium.

Are Air Purifiers Effective?

The short answer is yes — with results shown on the below table (insert the attached PDF document showing results)

Air Purifier Benefits

Air Purifiers help relieve the SOURCE of your symptoms from the start, whilst medications prevent REACTIONS to allergies and asthma. Continuous use experiences fewer allergic reactions and asthma symptoms.

Air Purification is not a replacement for your medications, but is still important to prevent the aggravating particles from getting into your home.

What Do Air Purifiers Remove?

Allergens

Allergies are a persistent, chronic issue for many families. Every season, a different stampede of allergens infiltrate your air. Certain allergens affect some people worse than others, though they are practically there year-round. This can interrupt your sleep, cause annoying sniffles and uncomfortable pressure in your sinuses. Customers report they notice significant improvements in their allergy symptoms, allowing them to sleep and breathe better. Whether you have chemical sensitivities or suffer from seasonal allergies, air purifiers can help. Allergens permeate both outdoor and indoor air. Through repeated exposure, people and even pets can develop worsening allergy symptoms. Limit allergen exposure with scientifically proven methods for purifying the air. Two research-backed methods for air purification are:

  1. AHPCO Ⓡ Ionization
  2. Bi-Polar Ⓡ Ionization

Air Oasis has state of the art units that leverage both of these forms of air purifying technology.

Mould

High indoor humidity, even in arid climates with energy-efficient buildings, can create an ideal environment for mould to grow in your home. Breathing in the spores damages your respiratory system and can cause a myriad of harmful side effects. Particularly, individuals suffering from mould sensitivities can experience the worst ways mould impacts your health. Air Oasis tested their air purifiers and found them to be effective at eliminating up to 99% of mould and mould spores.

The Harmful Effects of Mould

Mould is something that most people are familiar with to some extent, even if it is just the knowledge that it is in some way bad.

By definition, mould is a fungus that can be found both indoors and outdoors, in residential areas and in commercial ones. It feeds on organic, decomposing matter and thrives in areas that are dark, damp, and humid.

Often, when there is indoor mould, there is also a musty and unpleasant odor that accompanies it and alerts people to its presence. Mould spreads courtesy of spores that, when disturbed, float in the air and can survive conditions that mould itself generally cannot. Indoors, mould is one of the allergens that affect indoor air quality (IAQ) as well as people who are sensitive to it.

When people purchase one of our indoor air filters, they have the tools that they need to combat mould. Here at Air Oasis, we produce air purifiers that help to cleanse and sanitize both the air and surfaces. Our air purifiers are an effective and proven way to make any area healthier by ridding it of mould and mould spores.

Mild and Harmful Effects of Mould on Health

The best way to understand the importance of using one of our air purifiers is by understanding the potentially harmful effects of mould. How indoor mould affects a person depends on various factors, such as the amount of mould in the environment, how long a person has been exposed to it, and the individual and their health status.>

People who are most susceptible to mould/mould spores and their harmful effects are the elderly, infants, children, immunocompromised individuals, and people who suffer from asthma, allergies, and other respiratory conditions. The toxins that are found in certain types of mould spores, such as black mould, can enter a person’s system through the airways, skin or via absorption through the lining of the intestines.

It is these types of moulds that are the most harmful with prolonged long-term exposure. Some of the severe problems that people may experience due to this type of indoor mould exposure include fevers, pneumonia, severe asthma attacks, liver damage, and opportunistic infections of the lungs, skin, and other organs in people who are immunosuppressed or immunocompromised. In rare cases, mould exposure may even cause cancer. The more mild effects of mould include allergy symptoms such as itching throat, eyes, or nose, headache, diarrhea, fatigue, and dizziness.

Virus and Bacteria

Viruses and bacteria are of concern even outside of a global pandemic. Historically, influenza (the flu) contracts more annual cases on average than COVID-19 did in 2020. To slow the spread of viruses in the air and on surfaces without spraying harmful VOCs into your air, consider using an air purifier.

VOCs

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can be produced by most household products, such as cleaning supplies, carpet, flooring, paint, and even furniture. A high volume of VOCs is harmful for your respiratory and central nervous systems. Of course, you can’t stop cleaning your well-furnished indoor space, but you can improve the air you breathe with an air purifier.

Smoke

Even though it’s less common than it used to be, there are still plenty of people who smoke. Smoke (or vaped) particles impact outdoor and indoor air quality. Particles from combustible cigarettes or vape pens can fill the air with toxic gaseous pollutants. Ash particles don’t just dissolve into the air: they cling to clothes and hair and are recirculated and inhaled by other people.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that come from tobacco or marijuana smoke contain cadmium, benzene, vinyl chloride, ethylene oxide and arsenic. In one case study, particles from cigarette smoking were collected on quartz filters and presented a significant number of compounds that could adversely impact health. Studies further find that it isn’t just firsthand or even secondhand smokers who are affected. A major source of hazardous air pollutants indoors is thirdhand tobacco smoke..

So, whether or not you or a relative smoke indoors, you may regularly be exposed to this kind of toxic environment.
